Background

Geneviève joined the Cabinet JBM team in January 2024 as a communication and language assistant. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Ottawa after completing an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. It was during an observation day at the clinic — and following an immediate professional connection — that she knew speech-language pathology was the career she wanted to pursue.

Dynamic, dedicated, and always smiling, Geneviève deeply values human connection and has always wanted to work with children. She invests herself fully in her appointments, using a warm, caring, and playful approach. What she enjoys most is sharing simple yet effective strategies, building trusting relationships with families, and seeing progress — big or small — emerge over time.

In her role, she is guided by Jessica Bélisle Macquart, speech-language pathologist, who provides clinical guidance that supports the development of her skills and professional judgment.

Working at Cabinet JBM allows her not only to deepen her practice but also to feel fully at home within a team she describes as supportive, reassuring, and close-knit.
