Background

Joëlle joined the clinic’s team in 2022, driven by a desire to provide precise, human-centred, and tailored support for children with complex profiles, particularly in multilingual and multicultural contexts. A rigorous and passionate speech-language pathologist, she specializes in in-depth, personalized assessments conducted in close collaboration with families.

Her approach is grounded in a nuanced understanding of the realities experienced by each child and their environment. Drawing on her experience in school settings, her own perspective as a parent, and her ongoing doctoral studies at the University of Ottawa, Joëlle is able to identify real needs and provide parents with practical, meaningful guidance. She also offers targeted parental coaching sessions, taking into account each family’s strengths, languages, and unique journey.

Organized, dedicated, and dynamic, Joëlle enjoys working collaboratively with her colleagues and values knowledge sharing. Her informed perspective on the public system, her skills in adapting tools, and her interdisciplinary approach make her a valuable ally for families seeking answers.
