Background

Sylvie joined the Cabinet JBM team in 2023. A Special Education Technician graduated from La Cité, she brings nearly 10 years of experience working in school settings with children who have diverse needs.

Passionate, dedicated, and deeply caring, Sylvie has always been committed to supporting young people in reaching their full potential. As a communication and language assistant, she uses her patience, adaptability, and attentive listening skills to help children express themselves more effectively, build confidence, and navigate communication challenges. She works in collaboration with Jessica Bélisle Macquart, speech-language pathologist, who provides her clinical guidance.

She places great importance on building trusting relationships with children and their families, believing this to be the foundation of meaningful progress. Her goal is to offer a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where each child can grow at their own pace with the right tools.

She is also proud to have graduated with distinction from her college program at age 41 — an accomplishment that reflects her determination and her passion for her profession.
